Background
Todd B. Morgan has been a proud and active resident of St. Mary’s County since he moved here in 1979. As a husband, parent, businessman and community leader he recognizes the importance of a strong and vibrant economy matched by quality educational curriculum in an environment that many envy, yet few can enjoy ………
Morgan was born in 1956 to parents who instilled in him a strong sense of morals and values which he uses in his everyday life. He is a graduate of Susquehanna University where he received his BS in Business Administration Degree (Finance major) and later earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Degree from Marshall University.
Upon graduation, he moved to St. Mary’s County where he has lived and worked ever since. Todd has had the opportunity to learn first hand the trials and tribulations of growing a small business into a nationally recognized and admired corporation. He has worked side by side with community leaders helping to shape where St. Mary’s County has grown to today and he has taught hundreds of our citizens at the University level.
Todd began his career working for a major defense contractor. In 1985 he was honored to join Rex Eagan and John McAllister as their partner at Eagan, McAllister Associates, Inc. (EMA). As time moved on EMA became one of the largest and most successful businesses in Southern Maryland, winning numerous awards and accolades for not only their business but in their support of the community at large. The firm’s belief was its people and customers come first and you always need to give back to those who have helped you to succeed. Morgan continues to believe and support in these ideals. EMA is now known as Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) where he still works in support of their Patuxent River and Webster Field organizations.
Education has always been a strong aspect of Todd’s life. He is a firm believer that without a strong education our nation will not be able to compete with the growing pressures of foreign competition and we need to engage and challenge our youth to a higher level. As a parent, teacher and employer, he understands what our needs are and where our future requirements will be driven. Morgan taught college classes locally for over 20 years at St. Mary’s College of MD, the University of Maryland University College, Charles County Community College ( now CSM) and for Embry-Riddle University where he is an Adjunct Assistant Professor.
Morgan has been an active member of the community. Currently he is the President of the Southern Maryland Navy Alliance, Vice President of the Historical St. Mary’s City Foundation, Assistant Scoutmaster of BSA Troop 413, head of the Finance committee at the Church of the Ascension (Lexington Park), member of the St. Mary’s County Juvenile Drug Court and St. Mary’s Republican Club.
